Hey i´m matthias, i live in North Rhine Westphalia, germany and i´m 25 years old.
Before i played MK9 i played a lot of different competitive games (Counter-Strike, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, HoN, Dota 2, Quake, Unreal Tournament etc.).
I started playing fighting games seriously in 2011, when MK9 came out.
In MK9 i´ve been in LAB for almost 6 Month till my first combos went pretty well. I was new to fighting games and i haven´t played on a controller for a long time (always preferred mouse + keyboard => this doesn´t work well with fighting games :D )
I started off playing noob saibot. I don´t like playing 1 character for thousands of games, so i switch around pretty often.
In the end i played ~20 Characters in Mk9.
Characters i played in MK9 (Baraka,Cyrax,JC,Kabal,Liu Kang, Nightwolf, Noob Saibot, Quan Chi, Rain, Reptile, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Sheeva, Smoke, Stryker , Sub Zero, Kratos)
I played a little bit off Injustice aswell (i bought it with my PS4, just 1 month before MKX came out)
I played Batman and Scorpion :D!
My goal in MKX is to play almost every fighter i like. I love playing rushdown characters. Idk why i didn´t play jax in MK9, but i learned to love hm in MKX now :).
MKX Character i play atm (Reptile, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Kotal Kahn, Sub Zero, Jax, Tremor)
MKX Characters i play sometimes (Scorpion, Quan Chi, Liu Kang, Kano, Jacqui)
If i have time i will start practice more characters :).
"Career" (idk how i should call it) in MKX :
After the first week, only labbing Reptile, it seemed that i still couldn´t execute most of his combos. I went to a tournament in Roermond, and lost in the second round against a scorpion.
instead of dropping Reptile i decided to play him even more, so the next month i still played Reptile.
After 1 month of Reptile games, i still couldn´t do combos well.... I was pissed, dropped him and started playing Buzzsaw Lao.
It actually took me 1-2 days to master his bnb combos. I rarely dropped any combos and the character was better overall. So i decided to play him. I also learned a little bit Hat-Trick and Tempest aswell.
(to be continued)
